Jennifer Dimoff
OBHR Consultant and Associate Professor
Dr. Jennifer Dimoff is a globally recognized leader and Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, specializing in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. Her work is rooted in bridging the gap between academic research and practical workplace strategies, empowering organizations to create a healthier, more effective work environment.
Dr. Dimoff has partnered with local, national, and international organizations to develop, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based solutions that address real workplace challenges. Most notably, she co-developed the groundbreaking Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT)—one of the first scientifically evaluated mental health training programs for workplace leaders to be evaluated and proven to deliver measurable ROI.
With a primary research focus on the insection of leadership, workplace mental health and employee training and development, Dr. Dimoff has established herself as an innovator in this research field. In 2024, Dr. Dimoff was awarded the prestigous Research Excellence Award for an Emerging Researcher award from the Telfer School of Management.

Mikaila Ortynsky
PhD Candidate
Mikaila Ortynsky is a PhD Candidate in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Ortynsky demonstrates her passion for OBHR by advancing research in employee health, particularly emphasizing women’s health in the workplace.
Her research, which encompasses worker well-being, women’s health, and gender in leadership, utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research methods. This comprehensive approach is instrumental in understanding and addressing complex workplace health issues, ultimately leading to the creation of healthier work environments for women.
In 2023, Ortynsky was awarded Recognizing Telfer Graduate Student Research Excellence as well as the Cross and Duncan Award for Peer-Reviewed Publication. In 2024 was awarded a recipient of the Championing Brilliance: Telfer’s 2024 Graduate Research Student Award and the PhD Engagement Award. Additionally, in 2024, she was named an Ontario Women’s Health Scholars Award recipient. These achievements demonstrate her commitment to knowledge mobilization and guaranteeing that academic research reaches and benefits organizations at all levels.
